Greek dinner party menu

The menu kept on evolving, until the very end. A combination of timing, availability of ingredients, and last-minute realizations kept everything up in the air, but here’s what was served in the end:

  • A trio of mezethes: hummus, baba ganoush, and tzatziki all made from scratch and served with toasted pita
  • Greek Salad
  • Leg of lamb two ways-one on the bone with lemon and oregano and the other butterflied and “stuffed” with olives and sundried tomatoes
  • Side of fried potatoes with sage
  • Saganaki-kasseri cheese fried and flambeed with ouzo
  • Baklava paired with salted pistacchio ice cream
  • Theme cocktail: metaxa mojitos and shots of ouzo
